A resume that gets past the bots Data that stays with you
LocalATSCV helps you build a resume optimized for applicant tracking systems (ATS) and tailor it to every job in a few clicks. Everything happens in your browser: no account, no data sent anywhere

- Works offline
- ATS-readable PDF
The problem
Your resume is read by a machine first
Most large companies and recruiting agencies sort applications with an ATS (Applicant Tracking System). It extracts the text of your resume, stores it in a database and lets recruiters search candidates by keyword
Complex layouts
Columns, tables and text boxes scramble the reading order: your information comes out jumbled
Unreadable text
Icons, skill gauges and some design-tool exports turn into gibberish characters, or no text at all
Missing keywords
If the job ad's vocabulary doesn't appear in your resume, your profile won't show up in recruiters' searches

- 04
Export to PDF
A text-based, structured, single-column PDF that reads as well for bots as it does for recruiters

What is an ATS?
An Applicant Tracking System is the software recruiters use to receive, sort and search applications. It converts your resume to text and indexes it: if the text is badly extracted or the right keywords are missing, your application becomes hard to find
Do the graphic templates pass ATS?
Yes. Every template prints real text, in reading order, with standard section headings: shapes, gauges and icons are drawings that robots ignore. Single-column templates remain the safest, and the editor's ATS check tests your layout live
Where is my data stored?
Only in your browser, using IndexedDB, a database built into every modern browser. It never goes through our servers, which only know how to serve the application files
Can I reuse my current resume or my LinkedIn profile?
Yes. Import a PDF or Word (.docx) resume, your LinkedIn profile PDF (on a computer) or your LinkedIn data archive (from the mobile app): the content is read in your browser and sorted into the editor
Does the score guarantee my resume will be shortlisted?
No. Every ATS has its own rules and the final decision is made by a human. The score is an indicator: it checks that your resume uses the job ad's vocabulary and that a machine can read it correctly
What happens if I clear my browser data?
Your resumes are erased, since they exist nowhere else. Export a JSON backup regularly: you can import it back at any time, on any device
Why does the photo disappear in English?
In the UK, the US and many English-speaking countries, photos and dates of birth are discouraged to limit hiring discrimination. Some recruiters even reject resumes that include them
Does LocalATSCV work offline?
Yes. It's an installable web app: after the first visit, everything works without a connection, including PDF export
Is it really free?
Yes. LocalATSCV is an open source project under the MIT license, with no ads or subscription. It costs almost nothing to host, since your browser does all the work
